
🥣 Instructions:
- Sauté the Base
Heat the lard or oil in a large pot. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden. Add garlic and stir briefly. - Add Paprika
Remove from heat briefly to stir in paprika (to avoid burning). Return to heat and mix well. - Add Potatoes & Sausage
Stir in chopped potatoes and sausage slices. Season with salt and pepper. Add bell pepper or tomato if using. - Simmer
Pour in just enough water or broth to almost cover the ingredients. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the sauce has thickened slightly. - Serve
Spoon into bowls and top with a dollop of sour cream and fresh parsley if desired. Serve with crusty bread or pickles.
🍽️ Notes:
- For extra richness, stir in a tablespoon of sour cream or heavy cream near the end.
- This dish is even better the next day!
