Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Patties:
    In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
    Form into 4 oval-shaped patties.
  2. Cook the Patties:
    Heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat. Cook patties 4–5 mins per side until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make the Gravy:
    In the same skillet, melt butter. Add onions and mushrooms; sauté until soft and browned (~6–7 mins).
    Stir in flour; cook 1 min.
    Slowly whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer 4–5 mins until thickened.
  4. Combine and Finish:
    Return patties to skillet; spoon gravy over. Simmer on low 5 mins to meld flavors.
  5. Serve:
    Serve hot over mashed potatoes or rice.
